BRUC closes 2025 with 1,963 MW in operation and begins battery hybridisation

BRUC closes 2025 with 1,963 MW in operation and begins battery hybridisation Madrid, 7 January 2026.— BRUC, one of the leading independent renewable energy producers, closed the 2025 financial year with 38 photovoltaic plants in commercial operation, with a combined installed peak capacity of 1,963 megawatts (MW). In addition to these operational assets, the company has 637 MW currently under construction—all based on solar photovoltaic technology—and a further 3,988 MW under development.Altogether, BRUC’s total asset portfolio amounts to 6,588 MW. Of the 3,988 MW under development, 1,716 MW correspond to photovoltaic projects, 2,200 MW to hybridized battery storage systems and 72 MW to a wind hybridization project linked to the “Las Quinientas” photovoltaic plant. In line with its business model, BRUC will install its first battery systems before the end of the year, providing greater flexibility to the power supply. During the year, BRUC managed plants generated 3.42 terawatt-hours (TWh) of clean energy, enough to supply electricity to 900,000 households in Spain. This output helped avoid the emission of one million tons of CO₂, equivalent to the pollution generated by 673,000 combustion-engine vehicles. Financing for the construction and operation of its asset portfolio is secured through agreements with major national and international financial institutions, all aligned with the Green Loan Principles. Recently, BRUC agreed to a €474 million non-recourse financing package with BNP AM, Banco Santander, Banco Sabadell, Export Development Canada (EDC), and Banco Cooperativo. These funds will be used to refinance existingdebt linked to 858 MW of operating photovoltaic plants located in the regions of Andalusia and Aragon. BRUC sells the energy it produces either on the wholesale market or through power purchase agreements (PPAs) with leading corporations. The company’s strong shareholder base—comprising the pension funds OPTrust and USS—underpins the development of its ambitious business plan. “The confidence of our shareholders allowsus to continue advancing in the delivery of our business plan and to be ready to seize the opportunities arising from the electrification of the economy,” said Juan Béjar, chairman of BRUC. For his part, BRUC CEO Luis Venero stressed that “the investments in storage that we are undertaking as part of our business model will allow us to provide flexibility to our energy oering, helping to strengthen the reliability and resilience of the power system while also capturing better prices.” Driving sustainability BRUC understands that leadership in the energy transition goes beyond renewable power generation. It entails a comprehensive commitment that includes robust policies, multisector collaboration and the promotion of environmental education. Aligned with that vision, BRUC fosters sustainable growth based on environmental protection, social responsibility and corporate governance practices that guide all of its operations andstrategic decisions. The company’s business is fully aligned with European sustainability and decarbonisation regulations, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and international climate-action agreements. This alignment reinforces BRUC’s commitment to a long-term business model geared towards sustainable development. About Bruc BRUC is one of the largest and most dynamic renewable energy groups in Spain. Founded by entrepreneur Juan Béjar, its shareholders are OPTrust and USS. Luis Venero is the company’s CEO. BRUC believes there is an urgent need for an energy transition toward a decarbonized economy. A very significant part of this transition relies on the development of clean energies, whose contribution to the energy systems of countries must grow steadily. BRUC’s mission is to generate attractive investment opportunities in the field of renewable energies and to manage assets with the aim of contributing to environmental sustainability, substantially reducing pollutant emissions, and driving energy independence. BRUC currently has an asset portfolio in Spain and Japan (photovoltaic solar, wind and storage) totalling 6,600 MW in operation, construction and development. BRUC executes €474 million portfolio refinancing for 858 MW operating assets which incorporates an accordion feature to accommodate and up to 650 MW of BESS

BRUC executes €474 million portfolio refinancing for 858 MW operating assets which incorporates an accordion feature to accommodate and up to 650 MW of BESS January 2, 2026.- BRUC has executed a € 474 million non-recourse portfolio refinancing covering 858 MWp of operating renewable assets, arranged with BNP AM, Banco Santander, Banco Sabadell, Export Development Canada (EDC) and Banco Cooperativo; and the financial advisory of Banco Santander and Astris Finance. This transaction, classified as “green loan”, refinances the existing debt while structurally embedding Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) as a core value lever within the portfolio’s long-term business plan. The assets included in this financing are part of the company owned by BRUC Energy (51%) and Interogo (49 %). The financing enhances energy management flexibility and revenue optimisation. The structure is pioneering in the Spanish market in enabling the future financing of up to 650 MW of co-located BESS under hybrid PPA frameworks. A dedicated accordion tranche has been incorporated to fund battery capex, subject to preagreedtechnical, commercial and financial parameters, allowing BESS deployment to be executed within the existing financing perimeter. This approach positions storage as a scalable and bankable extension of BRUC’s operating platform, fully aligned with its business plan and the evolving dynamics of the Iberian power market. The participation of Tier I financial institutions reflects a strong validation of BRUC’s integrated solar-plus-storage strategy, asset quality and management and execution capabilities. Furthermore it establishes a replicable financing framework for future BESS-enabled portfolios in Spain.“We are pioneers in financing solar assets with battery hybridization, which shows the confidence of financial institutions in BRUC’s business plan,” says Luis Venero, CEO of the company.
